This is critical in reducing unwanted wear and tear of the fuel system components to ensure longer service intervals. Finally, the fuel traveling from the fuel tank to the fuel system picks up dirt and dust on its way and delivers them to the fuel filter where contaminants are removed. In this sense, fuel itself is critical in cleaning.
